Hexa Finance has announced the appointment of Adrian Coles as Director of Growth Finance, following a successful year supporting the business in a consultancy capacity as Commercial Growth Advisor to the Board. Now stepping into a permanent role, Adrian will continue to play a central part in further driving Hexa’s commercial strategy and regional presence across Wales.
Over the past year, Adrian has worked closely with the leadership team to help shape Hexa’s growth roadmap, expand its network of funders and partners, and support the business’s ambition to offer more relationship-led financial solutions to SMEs. His strong connections within the professional and business community have proven invaluable in helping Hexa deepen its reach across the region.
Adrian brings with him over 18 years of experience in commercial and corporate banking, primarily at NatWest, where he led the manufacturing sector strategy and supported growth through M&A and sector diversification. He also works as a consultant for scaling businesses and helped lead an EdTech company through a significant growth phase.
As Director of Growth Finance, Adrian will focus on expanding Hexa’s footprint across Wales, strengthening strategic partnerships, and ensuring business owners receive the tailored support and funding solutions they need to succeed.
A familiar name in the local business landscape, Adrian is an active member of the Institute of Directors and EVO Ultra, and also serves as Chair and founding Trustee of The Geraint Thomas Cycling Trust.
Hexa Finance, founded in 2020 by Ben Davies and Stuart Mason, has now supported over 8,500 businesses with funding solutions and grown to a team of more than 20. Adrian’s appointment reflects Hexa’s continued investment in experienced leadership to support its mission of driving business growth across Wales.
