Hexa Finance Expands Invoice Finance Capability Amid Continued Growth

Newport-based business finance provider Hexa Finance has appointed Daniel Barton as Head of Invoice Finance, as the company continues to grow its operations and broaden its support for SMEs seeking flexible funding solutions.

Barton joins Hexa with over ten years of experience in the commercial finance sector, having spent the past decade at a national funder, most recently as Branch Manager. His career has included extensive work across client relationship management, credit structuring, and operational delivery. At Hexa, he will focus on developing the company’s invoice finance proposition, particularly for businesses based in Wales, where demand for tailored, responsive finance continues to rise.

The appointment comes during a period of sustained growth for Hexa Finance. Since launching in 2020, the company has grown to a 20-strong team and has provided funding solutions to over 7,500 businesses across more than 30 sectors. The business was founded by Ben Davies and Stuart Mason to offer a more accessible, transparent alternative to traditional finance providers, with a strong emphasis on personalised service.

In his new role, Barton will work to enhance the delivery and accessibility of invoice finance, strengthen partnerships with introducers, and support the broader commercial team in refining Hexa’s product offering in the receivables space.

Commenting on the appointment, Stuart Mason, Co-Founder and Commercial Director at Hexa Finance, said: “Daniel brings with him a wealth of experience and a clear understanding of what SMEs need when it comes to cashflow support. His background in commercial finance and his knowledge of the regional market, particularly in Wales, will allow us to better serve businesses looking to access working capital through invoice finance.”

Daniel Barton added: “Hexa’s growth and customer-first approach really stood out to me. The team is focused on building relationships and providing straightforward solutions for SMEs, which aligns strongly with my own experience and values. I’m looking forward to developing the invoice finance side of the business and helping more companies unlock the value in their unpaid invoices.”
