Having known Dan Barton, Head of Direct at Hexa Finance, for several years, Julian got in touch during the fit-out phase of the project to discuss funding options and explore how finance could support the launch of the business.
The Requirements
Launching a new venture comes with significant upfront costs, and The Cold Room was no exception. With more than £100,000 required to complete the project, Julian needed a funding solution that would allow him to invest in specialist equipment without putting unnecessary pressure on working capital.
The project was also operating against a tight opening deadline, meaning equipment needed to be sourced, delivered and installed on schedule to ensure the business could launch as planned.
The Solution
Leasing and Hire Purchase: Working closely with Julian and the equipment suppliers, Dan structured a tailored funding package using a combination of Leasing and Hire Purchase facilities.
By spreading the cost of the investment into manageable monthly payments, the finance enabled The Cold Room to acquire the specialist equipment and infrastructure it needed while preserving cash for day-to-day operations and future growth.
Importantly, the solution also improved on an alternative proposal from another broker, giving Julian access to a more competitive funding package and helping keep the project on track for a successful opening.
