Meet the team
Stuart Mason, Commercial Director
Stu has over 18 years experience in the B2B finance space, having held senior positions at GE Capital, Macquarie and BNP Paribas prior to setting up Hexa. Stu has overall responsibility for all things commercial at Hexa, including the growth of our direct and supplier relationships and joint venture partnerships.
Stu is definitely outnumbered in his house with his four girls and has a passion for NFL.
Ben Davies, Managing Director
Ben co-founded Hexa with Stu in November 2020, building on their experience working together at GE Capital and Macquarie. As Managing Director, Ben has overall responsibility for Hexa’s operations, leading the team and championing the business within the community and across the industry. He is passionate about flying the flag for Hexa and ensuring the firm continues to deliver straightforward, customer-focused finance solutions for SMEs.
Family life with his young children keeps Ben busy away from Hexa.
Adrian Monger, Associate Director
Adrian joined Hexa in July 2021 as our first recruit, stepping into the role of Associate Director after previously working with Co-Founders Ben and Stu at Macquarie. He now leads Hexa’s indirect channel and is part of the leadership team, helping to drive the business forward through strong supplier relationships and a focus on delivering the right outcomes for customers.
Outside of Hexa, Adrian can often be found on the golf course or playing football at weekends.
Jason Davies, Operations Director
Jason joined Hexa in November 2023 and has over 35 years’ experience in the finance sector, working with both funders and brokers. He is a champion for customer service and workplace culture is helping Hexa to continue its growth trajectory with it’s core values intact.
Outside of work, Jason is actively involved in his local football club and is a very proud grandad.
Adrian Coles, Director of Growth Finance
Adrian Coles first joined Hexa as Commercial Growth Advisor to the Board in 2024, before becoming Director of Growth Finance in 2025. With nearly 18 years of experience at NatWest and a strong network within the region, Adrian has a wealth of knowledge and connections. Adrian is actively involved in the community, holding positions such as a founding Trustee and Chair of The Geraint Thomas Cycling Trust.
Alex Moulder, Operations Manager
Alex joined Hexa in March 2022 as Account Executive before being promoted to the role of Operations Manager to support our business growth. Alex is passionate about people development and process improvement and is excited to continue building out our operation in Newport, South Wales.
Alex is a proud dad and enjoys balancing his time between family, hitting the golf course when the weather permits and following the Formula 1 World Championship.
Gareth Burkitt, Credit Risk & Portfolio Manager
Gareth joined the business in June 2023 in the role of Credit Risk & Portfolio Manager. In his role, Gareth supports our clients in accessing the funding they need to grow as well as implementing data analytic strategies for our business. By his own admission, Gareth is a keen runner, part time cricketer, average golfer and someone that enjoys cooking and reading.
Ffion Pocock, Head of Marketing
Ffion joined Hexa as Head of Marketing in September 2024, bringing over 10 years of experience in marketing and communications. Before joining Hexa, she worked at a leading PR agency in South Wales, where she developed her skills in brand management and strategy.
Ffion is all about driving growth and boosting brand visibility at Hexa. When she’s not working, she’s a mum of two, loves staying active, and enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Michael Oxby, Advisor to the Board
Michael joined Hexa Finance in 2025 as Advisor to the Board to support business growth and expansion. With over 40 years in the finance industry, including senior roles at Santander, Macquarie, and Allied Irish Bank, he brings valuable expertise. Michael’s experience in building industry relationships will support Hexa’s continued success.
Daniel Barton, Head of Direct
Dan has over ten years’ experience in commercial finance, with a strong track record in client relationships and operational delivery. He leads Hexa’s growing invoice finance offering, helping businesses, particularly across Wales, access flexible working capital solutions. Away from the desk, Dan applies the same focus and resilience that saw him compete as a professional boxer.
Abbie Lock, External Account Manager
Abbie has a wealth of experience in the telecoms industry and spent 10 years in B2B sales and account management. She decided to take a leap into the finance sector and spent 3 years with Nimans on their lease desk, before joining Hexa in June 2024.
Abbie is passionate about building excellent supplier relationships and assisting in their growth.
Outside of Hexa you will find Abbie in the gym, being a ‘mum taxi’ to her teenager or on the beach as she loves to travel.
Mark Broad, Consultant for MPS and Tech
With 25 years of experience in the print sector and 18 of those years spent working in leasing and finance, Mark brings an extensive amount of expertise to the Hexa team. Mark joined the Hexa Finance team in October 2024, and assists businesses in the print and technology sectors by providing tailored financial solutions. When Mark isn’t at work, he spends his spare time as the Chairman of his local non-league football club and with his grandson, Koby.
Sharon Bromage, Senior Growth Advisor
Sharon joined Hexa in January 2023 after a 30-year career at Barclays and, more recently, The Development Bank of Wales. She brings a wealth of experience to Hexa at a time when we are passionate about growing our relationships with businesses across Wales. Based in South West Wales, Sharon is particularly passionate about supporting businesses in her patch and is a familiar face on the local networking scene.
In her spare time, Sharon enjoys keeping fit with daily runs and spending time with her family.
Zach McClymont, Sales Support Executive
Zach joined Hexa in June 2022 with a passion for building a career in financial services. Since joining the business, he has spent time learning about the industry and our clients and was the first person to benefit from our Hexacademy Training Programme. Now part of our commercial team, Zach plays a key role in helping clients access the right funding solutions, working closely with lenders to keep things moving smoothly. Outside of work, he enjoys renovating his new house and is a keen gardener — even creating Hexa’s first herb garden.
Lindsay Porter, Senior Growth Advisor for Scotland
Lindsay brings over 25 years of experience in commercial finance, having held senior roles with GE Capital, BT Financial Services and BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions, where he spent 18 years as Area Sales Manager. He has built strong relationships with brokers, clients and funders across Scotland and the wider UK, earning a reputation for his deep market knowledge and focus on customer service. At Hexa, Lindsay is leading the firm’s growth in Scotland, supporting businesses with fresh ways to fund expansion and build for the future.
Phil Smith, Senior Growth Advisor
Phil has over 15 years’ experience in business finance and a strong track record of building and leading commercial teams. At Hexa, he focuses on developing relationships with businesses across Wales and supporting them in finding the right funding solutions. His role combines hands-on customer support with driving new growth opportunities, strengthening Hexa’s presence across the region.
Sophie Scrivens, Customer Support Team Leader
Sophie joined the Hexa team as a Customer Service Executive in 2024, before being promoted to Team Leader. With over 7 years’ experience working within customer service roles, including being Guest Service Manager for a high-end hotel and spa, Sophie has an exceptional customer service background and loves raising money for charities. In her spare time, you’ll find Sophie training for half marathons, making sure she fits in multiple runs a week.
Molly Davies, Customer Support Specialist
Molly joined the operations team here at Hexa as Customer Service Executive in 2024, providing support to both customers and suppliers, with a focus on our payouts function. Having worked in asset finance for 18 months, Molly has worked across vendor and retail teams and is a great addition to the team. Outside of work, Molly hits the netball court or enjoys destination weekends away.
Alice-Sophie Roberts, Customer Support Specialist
Alice joined in July 2023 through an apprenticeship with Cardiff and Vale College, where she completed a Business Administration Level 2 course. Her role involves document raising, invoicing, payouts, and liaising with customers and suppliers. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new foods, especially Thai cuisine, cooking, and watching off-road biking and true crime documentaries. She also has a passion for fashion and beauty.
Amy Bennett, Customer Support Specialist
Amy joined Hexa in July 2025 and brings over 20 years of experience in financial services, covering everything from home and motor insurance to business process outsourcing. For the last 15 years, she’s worked as a Customer Service Manager, overseeing operations, managing inbound and outbound mail processing, and keeping things running smoothly with suppliers and clients.
Outside of work, Amy enjoys her Aunty duties, making sure she gets at least one sunny holiday each year, and walking the dog.
Chris Baker, Customer Support Specialist
Chris joined Hexa’s Operations team in August 2025 , and supports clients with their enquiries and helping to deliver a smooth and positive experience from start to finish. With a background in customer care, he’s known for his calm, reliable approach and focus on getting things right for Hexa’s customers.
Outside of work, Chris competed in the Olympic Games; an experience that shaped his determination and drive, both in and out of the office.
George Davies, Marketing Executive
George joined Hexa in January 2025 as a Marketing Executive, bringing with him 5 years of experience across Marketing and Communications. He comes from a varied working background, including time spent at Cardiff University, where he developed a strong foundation in strategic communications and campaign strategy. At Hexa, George will support the continued growth of the business through creative marketing initiatives and clear, effective messaging.
Outside of work, George has a keen passion for sport, enjoys reading and spends much of his free time walking his dog.
